 Mineral deposit | Even in a vacant home, a leaky faucet will cause damage to itself, the sink and the drain plug. Water slowly leaks through the faucet and evaporates leaving a deposit of minerals on the surface finish. Some cleaning chemicals will remove the minerals but chances are, the surface finish may be damaged permanently.
