| March 1st is the beginning of the seasonal watering restriction change. If you are in Watering group A, C or E your watering days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you are in group B, D or F, your watering days are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Sprinkler Watering. Use the cycle and soak irrigation method to water your lawn: 3 cycles per watering station set one hour apart and 4 minutes per cycle. Some lawns require more or less water, depending upon the type of grass and the exposure to sunlight. Drip irrigation is needed less frequently than sprinkler irrigation. During spring, SNWA recommends running your drip irrigation system in a single cycle of 30 to 90 minutes, two days a week. The length of each watering should be determined by the emitter flow rate, soil type and weather conditions. | And yes, spring brings new flowers and growth in most plants including weeds. Weed control is a must at this time of the year. As we walkthrough properties, this is definitely an area of concern. Weeds are another sign of vacant homes and if you live in a community with a Home Owners Association, they will definitely send you a note about the weeds on your property. Lets be proactive.
